Bill Glass - San Antonio
400 volunteers went into 6 San Antonio prisons, reaching every inmate with a message of hope. Even with temperatures over 100 degrees, Teammates persevered and God was glorified. 2,045 inmates chose to follow Christ, 1,139 for the first time! Nearly 400 of those were at the Dominguez Unit. On the first day, at the end of the afternoon program while many of the inmates and teammates were praying for forgiveness and to receive Christ... Someone around me said "God if your real, show me". Just as we finished praying we looked up into what was a clear sky, only to see two clouds - a perfect cross directly over head. I just can't say anything that compares to that. Day two. There was a multitude of opportunities to share my experience, strength, and hope with these men. Sharing a bit of how God has worked in my life led one young man to ask me for special prayer - he was here because one night while driving home, he was in a car accident that killed his best friend who was in the passenger seat. He had been drinking. He said "I know that God has forgiven me, but how can I ever forgive myself?" I know what regret and remorse can do to a man when left un-dealt with, how sorrow and bitterness can eat away until there is nothing left. So we prayed. I ask God to lighten this man's burden; that he might receive true forgiveness in his heart. As we parted ways, his expression was now one of relief, of hope. I was no more than 20 feet away from this man when emotion and pain hit me like a brick wall. I only just barely managed to get out of public view and into the Officers Dining Room when I lost all control and began sobbing and wailing with tears flowing like rivers down my face.
Oklahoma City WOC 2013
Here are some pictures from the OK City Weekend...Not as many pictures of God's servants doing His work, as I would like.... But perhaps there will be some pictures available in the future. We had some outstanding platform guests and a lot of people were touched, inspired and encouraged. I am very grateful to be useful to God in helping others. 272 Teammates went into 11 Units to share with 5,050 Inmates. Of that there were 1,180 Total Decisions recorded, 398 of which were First Time Decisions to let the Lord into their hearts and change their lives. If God has called you to serve, this may be one way to do it.
